Who are we?
As a family run transport company based around North London (Watford, Hertfordshire) we take personal pride in all of our removal services, and strive to ensure customer satisfaction throughout.
At J & J Machell we are more than just a man with a van removals company. We are the guidance, skill and experience you require to take the load away. We tailor all Our services to the individual, from small furniture deliveries to large logistical removal solutions. Our personable approach helps us determine and deliver our client's needs.
Our clients include private and public organisations, with workloads varying from local home removals to large retail deliveries or commercial distribution. Our expertise in furniture removals and furniture assembly has helped us develop a portfolio of clients and an understanding of the industry.
The company was first set up in 2010 using the aid and guidance of the "Princes Trust Enterprise programme" and has flourished since. We currently own a 3.5 tonne Luton van and have other vehicles at our disposal, all of which are fully insured including liability insurance (up to 5,000,000 pounds) and goods in transit insurance (up to 25,000 pounds per vehicle).

Customer satisfaction is a value we hold dear so please feel free to let us know how we have done so you can help us achieve this.
Value for money
Our objective is to complete every contract to our fullest capabilities. Our value is found in a combination of our proffessional experience, mixed with our reliable and friendly approach. The removals industry is a large one and it is sometimes difficult to decide on who you want to trust with the task. Over our 8 years within the industry we have always found our contracts via word of mouth, with little to know advertisement. We are proud of this and our past customers are happy with the value of our service.
Value for money is sometimes very subjective so be assured that our service is second to none and take a look at our prices. We are certain it will be money well spent.
Where we came from
The company was first set up in 2010 by brothers John and James Machell. Together they successfully, using their removals experience and a whole lot of determination, grew an unknown company into a respected contractor for large furniture retail outlets and a trusted removals company.
It was using the aid and guidance of the "Princes Trust Enterprise programme" that they were able to turn an idea into an actuality. They started the company on a credit card, hiring the vehicles they needed when they were required. Early starts and a whole lot of long days, weeks and months later they finally had a reasonable amount of money to help them on the way to buy a van. This is where the Princes Trust helped; by giving them a low interest loan that could be paid back steadily.
The trust more importantly provided them with a business mentor by the name of Paul Elvidge; a successful local business man who donated his own time to guide the brothers in the right direction. It was this guidance and knowledge that really gave them the kick they needed. A big thank you to the Princes Trust and their team of devoted volunteers and staff that help young people make the future brighter.
